New Sutton Bank HGV Leaflet produced

North Yorkshire County Council has funded another revised Sutton Bank HGV leaflet.  The leaflet and important extracts from it are featured on the NYCC web site and can be found via this link

 

HGV Information Board - the board has now been positioned on the A19, north bound lay-by just south of Thirsk.  The aim of the board is to give HGV drivers alternative route information avoiding Sutton Bank.  The board also reiterates that caravans are banned from Sutton Bank.

Turning facility for HGV's has been agreed

North Yorkshire County Council has agreed to provide a turning facility for HGV's in the vicinity of Sutton Bank.  To read the article in the D&S, please click on this link.

 

Government Minister visits Sutton under Whitestonecliffe to discuss Sutton Bank campaign

We have been on the Radio

Our campaign featured on Radio York and Radio Tees on Tuesday 22 September.  Pre-recorded interviews with Nick Dodds of Dodd Transport, Sutton under Whitestonecliffe and Cllr Jim Dickinson were repeatedly played and there was a live interview with Cllr Caroline Artingstoll.  A live interview with Cllr Don Mackenzie, NYCC responsible for Highways took place on Radio York only at around 0745hrs.
